We have been members of UK Cloud Magnets since the beginning, from the big bang! so to speak.
Following Mick into the group was a great decision. We have always had an interest in space, and especially the moon, I asked Chris, my husband, to buy me a telescope for my 50th birthday, the best we could afford. So began the obsession. UK Cloud Magnets have always welcomed beginners, complete novices and intermediate, in fact anyone interested in astronomy. We have been given some excellent advice on hardware, software and techniques from many members of the group. There’s always someone willing to help and support you. We’re not ones to post a lot on Facebook, but the group doesn’t feel like a Facebook group, it feels more like a family. Everyone can be a bit nutty at times, in a great way, and that’s why we seem to fit in. It’s fun, educational, information pages to download, challenging competitions and beautiful images to wonder at. We are both proud to be UK Cloud Magnets Magneteers and will wear our badges and thinsulate hats with pride.
